Westminster's airport security arm has a lot of contracts in negotiation

Below are some news-driven share price changes at around 12.15pm.

RISERS

Jupiter Energy Ltd (LON:JPRL), up almost 9%  as it agreed a new funding deal with its major shareholder.

Sigma Capital Group PLC (LON:SGM), up 3.91%, as it agreed  a new strategic partnership with housing firm Keepmoat to deliver 5,000 new private rented sector (PRS) homes.

 

LOSERS

Eland Oil & Gas PLC (LON:ELA), down 12% as it noted press speculation about the Niger delta. The firm said it was not aware of any incidents on its properties and that its continuing maintenance and operational activity remains unaffected.

Alpha Pyranees Trust Ltd (LON:ALPH), down 25% as the market responded unfavourably to a trading update for the quarter to end March.

Verona Pharma PLC (LON:VRP), down 6.17% as it reported progress in developing a drug to treat lung disease but posted sharply higher annual losses.

RISERS

Westminster Group PLC (LON:WSG), up 15%. The security services and managed solutions provider has had a tough time of things of late, but things appear to be looking up, with the imminent launch of its Sierra Leone ferry service and a slew of contract negotiations in the pipeline. The shares are up more than 50% over the last week.  

Bond International Software Inc (LON:BDI), up 13%. Constellation Software Inc is considering making an offer for Bond at 105p, sending Bond’s shares up 11.5p to 99p.

Norman Broadbent PLC (LON:NBB), up 8.0%. The executive search firm’s 2015 results showed the benefits of the recent restructuring, while the firm revealed it made a small profit in the first quarter of 2016.

FALLERS

Bushveld Minerals Limited (LON:BMN), down 15%. Trading In the mineral development company’s shares has been restored, with the company having secured US$5.2mln of financing to complete the first phase of the acquisition of Strategic Minerals Corporation from Evraz Group. Please note this Strategic Minerals is no relation to the London-listed company with a similar name.

Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR), down 9.1%. The Australian tungsten explorer and developer is to seek permission from shareholders to grant directors the authority to issue shares pursuant to recently announced fund-raising activities.

Vela Technologies PLC (LON:VELA), down 2.4%. Perversely, the shares have dipped on news that Scott Fletcher has lifted his stake from less than 3% to 3.74%.
