Major share price risers and fallers in London at 4pm

RISERS

Metal Tiger (LON:MTR) up 21% to 3.59p Dianne Grammer, wife of  chairman Terry Grammer, has bought A$250,000 of shares in the natural resources  investment company. Grammer paid 2.75p a share, raising £132,000 for the company. She will also receive warrants to subscribe for up to 4.82mln Metal Tiger shares at an exercise price of 5.5p within the next 18 months.

Polo Resources Ltd (LON:POL) up 7% to 3.25p. Commodity firm investor sees signs of recovery though half year losses widened. Net asset value rose even so.

Caledonia Mining PLC (LON:CMCL) up 19% to 59p. Zimbabwe gold miner rises strongly as non-executive John Kelly bought another chunk of shares.

FALLERS

Univision Engineering Limited (LON:UVEL) down 17% to 0.62p.  Company has decided to sell its 52.25% stake in T-Com Technology after a significant loss in the first nine months of the year to March.

Kolar Gold Ltd (LON:KGLD) down 15% to 1.9p. Strategic review concludes it is no longer in company’s best interests just to be a gold miner in India so will look to expand into finntech.

Plexus Holdings PLC (LON:POS) down 7% to 51p. Sales sharply lower as oil and gas slump hits wellhead engineer tech firm. Dividend suspended as losses rise to £3.5mln.


Major share price risers and fallers in London at 1pm

RISERS

Ascent Resources (LON:AST) up 27% to 6.32p. More gains for the Slovenia gas group following the takeover approach from fellow junior Cadogan.

Independent Oil & Gas PLC (LON:IOG) up 13% to 11.75p. Oiler is looking at the possible acquisition of “complementary near term oil and gas developments and low risk production assets in the North Sea”. It is already carrying out due diligence on a “number of assets/opportunities”.

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (LON:CHAR) up 11% to 6.5p. Deal with Italian major ENI to sell the majority of its stake in the Rabat Deep exploration project, offshore Morocco. ENI is taking a 40% share in Rabat Deep, leaving Chariot with 10%. In return it will pay Chariot’s share of future drilling costs for the proposed JP-1 exploration well.

FALLERS

SolGold PLC (LON:SOLG) down 16% at 3.6p. Latest drilling update from Cascabel project in Ecuador unsettles investors even though it showed more good intersections of metal.

Kimberley Enterprises NV (LON:KE) down 12% to 0.88p Profit taking after strong gains on recent change of control at group.

Eden Research PLC (LON:EDEN) down 9% to 10.6p. Agrochemical group raises £2.6mln at 10.25p to provide cash for R&D and develop commercial reach of existing plant care and personal health products. 


Major share price risers and fallers in London at 9.30am

RISERS

Milestone Group PLC (LON:MSG) up 87% to 0.75p. Raises £540,000 through a placing at 1p or more than double the closing price last night. “The raising of these funds from existing shareholders and at a premium to the existing share price, shows confidence in our business model,” said Deborah White, chief executive. 

Galileo Resources PLC (LON:GLR) up 17% to 1.08p. Remodelling of Concordia prospect has indicated grades similar to large copper open pits being mined globally.

Premier Foods PLC (LON:PFD) up 7% to 60.3p. US firm McCormick increases its proposed takeover offer to 65p but only if the board of the Ambrosia and Bisto group agrees.

FALLERS

CAP-XX Ltd (LON:CPX) down 20% to 3.96p. Higher interim losses as orders come in slower than expected for the Aussie supercapacitor maker.

Rambler Metals & Mining PLC (LON:RMM) down 18% to 3.5p. Tough quarter for the Canadian copper miner as the price of the metal has tumbled, but company expects things to improve over the second half of the year.

Bowleven PLC (LON:BLVN) down 13% to 20.3p. Big loss due to impairment charges at the African oil and gas explorer. Cash holdings are US$100mln net with no work commitments.
