Below are the main news-driven share price movements at 12.30pm.

RISERS

SABMiller (LON:SAB) up 22.3%. The company confirmed that rival Anheuser-Busch InBev has made a takeover approach to the South African brewer. AB Inbev needs to make a bid or walk away by a so-called "put-up-or-shut-up" deadline of 1700 on October 14.

Quadrise Fuels International (LON:QFI) up 10.6%. It will begin trialling its flagship MSAR fuel technology at the beginning of 2016 as it progresses several opportunities toward commercial production.

Styles & Wood Group (LON:STY) up 9.1%. The company has been awarded a £17.7mln contract to refurbish Westminster House, Portland Street, Manchester for Aviva Investors.

 

FALLERS

Dillistone (LON:DSG) down 13.3%. The software provider saw sales rise but profit slip as it said that increased investment in Dillistone Systems means it will see a fall in profits for 2015.

Cello Group (LON:CCL) down 7.8%. The strategic healthcare marketing group, posted a 50% drop in pre-tax profit in its latest half year, but said it was confident full year expectations would be met.

Synairgen (LON:SNG) down 2.3%. The company swung to a pre-tax loss in the first half after revenue it generated from a tie-up with AstraZeneca last year did not repeat.

RISERS

Alkane Energy (LON:ALK) up 41%. The investment arm of civil engineering group Balfour Beatty (LON:BBY) is buying Alkane for about £61.4mln.

Copper Development Corp (LON:CDC) up 31%. The firm entered into a conditional sale agreement to sell its CDC Philippines Holdings subsidiary for US$500,000.

Galantas Gold (LON:GAL) up 19%. Surface sampling raised hopes of expanding its wholly owned Omagh Gold Mine in Northern Ireland. Further traces of gold were found after the discovery of high grade boulders in the area last year.

 

FALLERS

Seaenergy (LON:SEA) down 19%. As previously flagged, the company said low oil prices have impacted its first half, with sales and profits lower. The company expects to make an operating loss for the year before a recovery into profitability in 2016.

Imaginatik (LON:IMTK) down 11.6%.Non-executive chairman Matt Cooper has had to pump in US$110,000 as a director loan to cover the company’s short term capital as it waits for receipt of funds from certain clients and experiences delays in renewing several contracts.

ValiRx (LON:VAL) down 10%. The company has raised £2.4mln through the subscription by YA Global Master SPV of 8.1mln shares at 30p per share. The proceeds will be used to advance the company's therapeutic developments, biomarker programmes and intellectual property creation
