WorldSpreads Group plc is engaged in running a betting market on a range of sporting events and equity markets. The Company operates in two segments: sports betting and financial spread betting. The sports betting segment includes spread bets and fixed odds bets on sporting and other events. The financial spread betting includes bets on stock indicies, individual shares, currencies and interest rates. The Company provides its services principally in Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Spain and Hungary. It also has a subsidiary in Malaysia, through which the Company develops its trading and Information technology (IT) systems. Its subsidiaries include Sports Spread Betting (Ireland) Limited, Supreme Odds Limited, WorldSpreads (Ireland) Limited and WorldSpreads Limited, which are engaged in the provision of a betting market; WorldSpreads (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., which is engaged in IT development, and Leisure Spread (NI) Limited.
