Jacques Vert Plc is engaged in the design and retail sale of ladies’ fashion wear. The Company is a retailer of four women’s wear brands: Jacques Vert, Planet, Windsmoor and Precis Petite. During the fiscal year ended April 26, 2008, the Company operated from 940 outlets. The Company has interest in William Baird Ltd (formerly William Baird PLC), which is an investment holding company. During the fiscal year ended April 26, 2008, the Company acquired Jacques Vert (Canada) Inc., which is a Canadian registered company. On January 31, 2008, the Company sold its wholly owned subsidiary, Bairdwear Interfashion (Pvt) Ltd, a garment manufacturer in Sri Lanka.
