    Globo's (LON:GBO) transformation into a major international mobile technology firm was confirmed by "stellar" growth last year, broker Daniel Stewart today. The broker has a 'buy' rating on the stock and a punchy target price of 133 pence, up from 127 pence previously.

Barry M. Ariko, Non-Executive Chairman 

 

Barry M. Ariko was former President and Chief Executive Officer of Mirapoint, Inc., a private technology company that produces infrastructure for managing and securing Internet messaging, since November 2003, and has been Chairman of the Board of Mirapoint since December 2003. He was a private consultant from October 2001 to October 2003. From April 2001 until September 2001, Barry was Senior Vice President of Peregrine Systems, Inc., an infrastructure management software company, and from April 2001 until June 2002 was a member of its Board of Directors. From March 2000 until April 2001, Barry served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Extricity, a private Internet software provider, and he also served as Chairman of the Board from March 2000 to April 2001. From March 1999 to January 2000, he was a Senior Vice President of America Online, Inc., where he was responsible for the Netscape Enterprise Group. From August 1998 until the acquisition of Netscape Communications Corporation by America Online in March 1999, Barry served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Netscape. From 1994 to August 1998, Barry was Executive Vice President of Oracle Corporation. In 1981, he had completed a BS Management (Summa Cum Laude) at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and, in 1992, completed the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. From 1962 to 1967 he attended City College of New York as a New York State Regent Scholar. 

 

Konstantinos (“Costis”) Papadimitrakopoulos, CEO 

 

Konstantinos holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens. From 1989 to 1995 Konstantinos was operations and exports manager for his family’s fruit processing business, Sparti Hellas S.A., where he gained experience of the markets in Greece, the Balkans and Eastern Europe.Upon leaving the family business he founded Globo in 1997.

Since 2008 he serves as Chairman to Hellenic Capital plc, a UK PLUS Quoted investment company. He is also Chairman to the Hellenic Association of Mobile Appliication Companies, founded in 2010.

He has participated in more than 15 national and international ICT projects and is an active member on several committees.

 

Dr. Joseph Coughlin, Non-Executive Director 

 

Joseph, is a distinguished academic with considerable business consultancy experience. He currently teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's School of Engineering on health innovation, strategic management and public policy. He is also the founder and Director of MIT's AgeLab - the first multi-disciplinary research programme created to understand the behaviour of the 45+ population and in turn providing innovative technological solutions to improve the quality of life of older adults and their families. Prior to joining MIT, Dr. Coughlin was with EG&G (Carlyle Group), a Fortune 1000 science and technology company, where he led the transportation technical services and consulting practice, serving industry and government worldwide.

He regularly consults on strategy and product development to a number of firms worldwide including Ace Insurance, ACS, AARP, AstraZeneca, Bell Canada, Blue Cross - Blue Shield, BMW, British Telecom (BT), Banco Bradesco-Brasil, EDS, DaimlerChrysler, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, Gruppo Generali, Johnson & Johnson, Kohler, LPL Financial, MasterFoods, Merck JV, Motorola, Nissan, Proctor & Gamble, United Health Group, Raytheon, SwissRe, Telecom Italia Mobile and numerous other firms and government agencies around the world.  

 

Gavin Burnell, Non-Executive Director

 

Gavin Burnell has specialised in advising smaller capitalised companies for the last ten years having joined Ruegg & Co in 2001, which was purchased by Astaire Securities in 2009. He remains a director of corporate finance and is responsible for maintaining client relationships with a number of AIM and PLUS quoted corporate clients. Gavin was a founder shareholder and Non-Executive director of Stratex International plc - an AIM-traded company with gold interests in Turkey and Ethiopia, a Non-Executive Director and shareholder of Iceni Oil and Gas Limited - with North Sea oil and gas projects and that was sold to TSX-listed Bridge Resources Corp and is a founder and Non-Executive Director of Silvrex Limited - a private company with gold exploration interests in Senegal, West Africa. 

 

Gavin is also a founder and Non-Executive director of Magnolia Petroleum plc, Hot Rocks Investments plc and High Road Capital plc, all PLUS traded cash shell companies. Gavin holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of West of England. 

 

Gerasimos (“Makis”) Bonanos, Commercial Director

 

Gerasimos studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds, after which he transferred to the American College of Greece and graduated with a BSc degree in Marketing. Gerasimos worked for KODAK Near East Inc between 1982 and 1989 with the exception of 1984 where he worked as a senior manager for General Motors ODC before rejoining KODAK in 1985. Gerasimos then joined BIS S.A., an exclusive distributor of KODAK microfilm and digital products where he worked between 1989 and 2004. Having acquired expertise in the field of document management solutions, he joined Globo in 2005 and has been successful in the development of both Globo’s sales and positioning in large-scale projects. He has experience in international business as well as the Greek market.

 

Dimitrios Gryparis, Finance Director 

 

Dimitrios graduated from Essex University with a bachelors degree in Accounting and Financial Management. He also has a Masters degree in Banking and Finance from Adelphi University (NY, USA) and is a former banker, having worked as an account officer in the Corporate Banking division of EFG Eurobank in Athens for 5 years between 2001 and 2006. He joined Globo in June 2006.
