    Up until now most of African Eagle’s focus and valuation has quite rightly been centred on the impressive Dutwa nickel project. But it is clear that its wider portfolio has much more potential and this new Zambian strategy may present an interesting proposition for investors. The new spin-out company’s most advanced project should start producing later this year, and it has two other priority projects to drill in the high profile Zambian copper-belt.

    African Eagle MD Mark Parker sets record straight on Zambian copper spin-out plans

    First and foremost African Eagle is firmly focused on the Dutwa nickel project in Tanzania but recent reports in the Zambian press caused quite a stir. This afternoon, we caught up with managing director Mark Parker who dismissed reports that the AIM-listed mining firm would be splashing out between US$40 and US$50 million into the Mkushi copper project this year. Parker did confirm that it is preparing to step up work on the Zambian copper assets ahead of an eventual spin-out and IPO later this year.
