Big picture - Why invest in Alkane Resources Ltd

Alkane Resources Ltd Snapshot

Alkane Resources Ltd is an ASX and OTCQX (US) listed multi-commodity mining and exploration company with a focus on gold, copper, zirconium, niobium and rare earths. Our projects and operations are located in the Central West of New South Wales, in eastern Australia.

Project: Dubbo Zirconia Project
Location: Toongi, Dubbo, NSW
Deposit: Zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, yttrium and rare earth elements.
Years of operation: 1999 – ongoing

The Dubbo Zirconia Project (DZP) is an exciting development project based on one of the world’s largest in-ground resources of rare metals and rare earths. Due to the size of the resource, the mine is expected to process 1,000,000 tonnes of ore throughput per year over a period of 70 years or more. The DZP will produce a strategic and alternative supply of zirconium (hafnium), niobium (tantalum), yttrium and rare earth elements to the global market.

A demonstration pilot plant (DPP) at ANSTO has been running since 2008, allowing Alkane to prove the DZP’s technical and financial viability. The DPP has resulted in the development of a working flowsheet and verified resource extraction and processing methods.

Project: Tomingley Gold Operations
Location: Tomingley, NSW
Deposit: Gold
Years of operation: 2014 - present

Tomingley is a medium-sized gold project with approximately 800,000 ounces of gold in the current defined resource space. A financially viable project has been developed around Tomingley with the aim of producing 50,000 – 60,000 ounces of gold per year, based on an annual ore throughput of around 1 million tonnes. The resource has a target life of 10-12 years.

Development opportunities are currently focused on the area immediately north of the historic 70,000 ounce gold producing Myalls United Mine. Feasibility studies completed in 2010 have identified the potential for three open pit mines, Wyoming One,  Wyoming Three and Caloma, and a longer term underground development at Wyoming One.
